Born on August 24th 1990, in the UK, Jamal Edwards MBE was an entrepreneur and pioneer, known as a trailblazer in the field of digital content, music and entertainment. He spent his life empowering young people from all walks of life to achieve their dreams and ambitions with the mission of helping them to be the best versions of themselves. Helping individuals to flourish was one of the many ways Jamal believed was a proactive way of making the world a better place. We are dedicated to continue his mission of helping others, with young people being at the heart of that to ensure they manage to unlock and reach their full potential to help create a better tomorrow.
The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust is dedicated to supporting young people under two key initiatives. The first will provide mentorship and support to young people in developing life and cognitive skills combined with a media related internship program.
The second initiative is focussed on homeless intervention. Vulnerable young adults will be housed for up to a year using a multi-faceted therapeutic approach, followed by tailored apprenticeships, and eventually permanent work placements within various industries.
